New Year, New Me

New Year, New Me

That’s right folks, we are almost an entire month into the new year. Rather than posting a write up on all of my New Years Resolutions at the beginning of the new year, I thought I would be more interesting to check in a month in and see how much I am actually keeping up with those resolutions.

Drink more water: This year I actually decided not to write this down as a resolution, because every year I write it down and almost every year I don’t. So this year I challenged myself to start drinking more water and keeping track of when I hit my goal. And the results are surprising, more often then not I have hit my daily water goal. Although this wasn’t something I wrote down, I still find myself extremely proud for accomplishing a small goal for myself.

The year of the good skin: if you know me, you’ll know that I have quite dry and acne prone skin. So this year my goal is to treat my skin better, I have actually invested time into researching products for my skin type rather than just buying random ones from Shoppers when I need them. And obviously drinking more water has helped with this one. I wouldn’t say my skin is great now, but I am more conscious of what I put on my face and in my body.

Buy new underwear: This may be too much information and I know it seems pretty easy. But the premise was this: I have be holding on to the same old undies for years to the point where they are falling apart. So a few weeks ago, I went out and bought more underwear than is socially acceptable to buy all at once and revelled in how nice it is to treat yourself to the basics every once in a while.

Be more interesting/ try new things: I mean… if what I haven’t said yet hasn’t screamed “OMG I AM SO INTERESTING” then maybe this will: I have actually signed up for yoga and pilates classes, I have also been keeping a bullet journal, and threw my mom a surprise party. (Interesting & new right?)

Complete masters: I mean.. this isn’t a resolution but it is something I want to do this year. I set the bar high for myself.

I hope 2017 is off to a great start for you all and you all have magically become the best versions of yourself! *sarcasm*
